「I would say the hamburg was well cooked, though I would have like a bit more of a grilled flavour. Also was a relatively small portion, but I would say that it is worth trying. They had a lot different flavours and the mentaiko one was very nice.」

「I’ve been here twice now, and both times the food was delicious. The concept is great, the combinations are impressive, and the price is fantastic for what you get. The regular dishes, especially the hamburger steak with rice, fried cheese, egg, and soup, are more than enough to make you happy. The meat was outstanding, and the balance of flavors really surprised me on my first visit. That said, I would not recommend going for the house specialty. While it wasn’t bad, the noodles in the special really didn’t work for me and threw the whole dish off. Normally, a specialty should showcase the very best of the kitchen, but here the regular menu items are definitely the stronger choice. The ambiance and service are also great, with nice touches like a complimentary ginger juice shot that adds to the experience. Overall, a wonderful place to eat, just skip the specialty and go with the regular dishes, which are consistently excellent.」

「We got the garlic Hamburg and kimchi soup hamburg, salad, and karaage, all were so DELICIOUS! The garlic and whatever sauce that comes with compliment the fattiness of the Hamburg so well and super fragrant! The kimchi soup with Hamburg might sounds a little strange but trust me it was such a good comfort soup eating with rice and also tangy ness from the kimchi compliments the dish perfectly! The salad dressing was tangy,sasame and fresh! Karaage was juicy, flavorful and super crispy. Definitely one of our highlights of our Tokyo trip!」

We wanted to try one burger in Tokyo but this was so much more than that - not only was the hamburg (they made a point to note in their signage that “it’s NOT a hamburger”) wildly delicious (came with noodles, potato salad, an amazing sauce), they have this delicious fresh juice. 「Fun tiny little place with only half a dozen tables. The food is like a fat hamburger patty in a very hot bowl with grilled cheese on top and half an egg and noodles in a deep rich meaty gravy which is bubbling as it comes out. You can also add toppings like deep fried prawns or karage chicken or spaghetti!? You also get a never ending bowl of rice that you can mix in with the gravy. It was delicious and hearty simple food. I'd go back again for sure.」

「Worth waiting a while in the rain for a table to open up. You can tell the owner takes great pride in the food and drink. Hamburger was fully cooked without being dry. Endless refills on rice! Flavor is amazing. Potato salad is better than expected, and I think it's an improvement on the American version. Veggie shot was delicious. After discovering this place through a random online search, we decided to give it a try. We arrived at 4:30 PM and had a short wait due to a group ahead of us. Preparation took around 20 minutes, as each Hamburg is freshly cooked to order. They served a complimentary vegetable cocktail beforehand, which was refreshing. Now, onto the main highlight, the Hamburg was simply delicious, perfectly complemented by the sauce and their special chili. Definitely try this with their rice. It was truly amazing and made our evening memorable. This place is definitely a must visit. The customer service was excellent, and despite the long queue outside, I never felt rushed. The service was delightful , they served everyone with their refreshing and surprisingly flavourful veggie juice before the meal. I was never a fan of veggie juice until I tried this one. Overall experience was excellent, though the shop was small, it was surely cozy.」

I ordered the limited-time Hayashi sauce hamburger steak and used a LINE coupon to get a large homemade vegetable juice. ​It was incredibly delicious. It definitely lives up to its reputation as a hamburger steak spot. The vegetable juice was also excellent; the blend was perfect, making it very tasty and easy to drink despite being a veggie drink. The staff spoke English, so there were no communication issues, and the atmosphere was that of a typical Japanese restaurant.」

Shared a large salad and karaage chicken — both generous servings. Chicken thighs were perfectly seasoned. Hamburg meals were really delicious and my kimchi soup had a complex flavour profile with the few mushroom slices. I’ve not reviewed other meals during this visit but I felt the way this restaurant paces the kitchen in not rushing tables, the calm communication between the chef and cook (we had a counter view), the skillful handling and prep of the patties — all added to a memorable meal. Yes we had such a long wait (let’s say our late lunch turned into dinner) with nowhere to rest our achy legs but all was forgotten once we entered this calm space. Bring cash.」

No english menu, but the server kindly explains to us or you just use google translate.」

The portions were more than enough, especially for the price they charge (we have no idea how they make money with such low prices). The staff was very nice and very accommodating. They have umbrellas for guests to use while waiting for a table. Bring cash as they don't take credit cards, however they helped us with a preliminary bill to ensure we have enough cash on us to pay for everything we were about to order. We tried to go to another “famous” Hamburg spot without reservations and were turned away. Super disappointing but this couldn’t have worked out better! Everything happens for a reason and we are so glad we found this place instead! It’s a smaller place, around 20 seats and we waited about 5 minutes before being seated around 5pm on a Saturday. Which is crazy. But we definitely came at the right time because the line started to grow after that. We ordered the Yamamoto Hamburg and the Kimchi Hamburg (my choice and the broth was AMAZING!!!) with rice and miso. They brought out a delicious green juice to start with and it was very fresh and yummy! Then the main course with sides. The food was prepared very nicely and you can tell it was quality. OH BOY! What a treat! And not to mention the homemade chili oil on the table — be careful! It’s addicting! We bought a jar of it because we couldn’t get enough of it! Mix it with your rice, you won’t regret it! Oh yeah, and try the Ginger Highball! The ginger tastes fresh and was the best drink we’ve had in Japan thus far!! TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!!! 🤩⭐️」

They also provided an English menu and the waitress spoke a little bit of English as well. The hamburg steak was absolutely amazing, honestly the highlight of my trip! Enjoying it with their own unique side sauce, really enhanced the flavour of the hamburg. The portions are fairly big, and the set comes with miso soup and unlimited rice refills. Highly recommend the Ebi Fry or karaage as an add on, the portions are big and it's crispy and juicy on the inside! The meal also comes with their own vegetable juice that they make freshly in the store which you can upsize for 200 yen. The waitress showed me the vegetables and fruits that they use and the sour and sweet punch was a great start to the meal. Fantastic restaurant and I would definitely come more often when I return to Tokyo!」
