Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to paid SugarMap subscriptions offered by OceanMind Intelligence Ltd. ("SugarMap", "we", or "us"). The Basic plan is free and has no subscription charge to refund.

Paid transactions are processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to purchases made through Paddle.

Where shown at checkout, a new Pro or Premium subscription begins with a 30-calendar-day free trial. A valid payment method is required, but no subscription fee is charged during the free-trial period.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid monthly or yearly subscription at the price and billing interval shown when you signed up, plus any applicable taxes. Trial eligibility may be limited to one trial per person, account, business, or payment method.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly billing period until cancelled. The renewal price, billing interval, and any applicable taxes are displayed at checkout. We or Paddle will provide notices where required by applicable law.

You may cancel at any time using the cancellation link in your Paddle subscription email, through Paddle's buyer portal, or by contacting us. To avoid the first charge, cancel before the free trial expires. To avoid a renewal charge, cancel before the next renewal date.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current trial or paid billing period. You keep access until that date and will not be charged again. Cancelling a paid subscription does not normally create a prorated refund for unused time.

Except where required by applicable law, subscription charges are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Refund requests are reviewed case by case by SugarMap and Paddle. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a full or partial refund will be approved.

A refund may be considered when:

• applicable consumer law gives you a mandatory right to one;
• you were charged more than once for the same billing period;
• the charge was unauthorized, subject to identity verification; or
• a material technical defect prevented access to the paid service and we could not resolve it within a reasonable time.

Change-of-mind requests, forgetting to cancel, or not using the service during a paid period are not normally eligible, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory withdrawal, cancellation, or refund rights. When those rights provide greater protection than this policy, the mandatory legal protection applies.

For consumers in Taiwan, online transactions may carry a statutory seven-day cancellation right unless a valid legal exception applies and the required notice and consent have been provided. We will honor any cancellation or refund right that applies to your purchase.

Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time to display the funds.

We may update this policy as our plans, payment provider, or legal obligations change. The version in effect when a transaction occurs will apply to that transaction, subject to mandatory law.
